Plumbing

Emergency/24hour
A burst pipe or water leak? Call us 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Repairs, leaks, and installations
Whether it’s a new radiator; a leaky tap fixed or fitting a new shower, we carry out all of your plumbing repairs and installations.

Sanitary/urinal de-scale
A common problem that causes flooding and toilets to overflow is the build-up of uric scale. We can remove and clean traps and core out all small-bore waste pipes to stack and remove this build-up and any foul smells.

*Plumbing costs per hour for the first hour and then in 15-minute increments.

Burst Pipes

If you’ve got a burst pipe, you need to act quickly to minimize potential damage to your property. Please follow these simple steps:

  • Turn off the stop tap and turn on the taps to drain your full house water system.
  • Try to collect water from the leak area. If it is through the ceiling, collect the water in a bucket. In the instance of a ceiling bulge, attempt to pierce the plaster to allow the water out. *If you are unsure of the position of any electrical wires or the area is live, do not touch the area until it has been tested.
  • Switch off your central heating.
  • Don’t touch any wiring or switches that you believe could have been affected.

IF IN DOUBT, TURN OFF YOUR ELECTRICITY AT THE MAINS.

Leaking Taps

Leaking taps can be an irritation. Usually, it is a washer or may need reseating.

If your tap is leaking you should have an isolation valve on the same pipe below; if you use a flat head screwdriver and turn this, so the line is across the pipe, this will shut the flow of water off for the repair to progress.

A leaking tap can usually be fixed by us for £?? Including parts.

Leaking Drains & Waste Pipes

If you have a leaking drain or waste pipe, the primary check should be for the nuts being tight enough? If they are and the waste pipe is still leaking it may have come out of its socket, or the pipe may have been fitted incorrectly by the former installer.

Things to do to fix the problem are:

  • Check nut is tight
  • Insert pipe back into the socket
  • Replace washers
  • Check for cracks or splits in the pipe and joints
  • Replace waste
